Choose Hard: big problems need big solutions. you can complain, or you can take ownership and build them.

Speed: the biggest advantage a startup has. it doesn’t come from working more hours. it comes from not doing the wrong things.

money = speed. so if you need more speed to win, it is time to collect some money. there are different sources:

Personal Funding: your own money.
Angel: people investing their own money, mostly at the very beginning.
VC Funding: firms investing other people’s money into high growth startups. accelerators like Y-Combinator are the ones that come in right at the start.
Public Funding: money from the state. what you get depends on where you are incorporated. all the German and Bavarian programs are in Public Grants.
